For cable television, a community broadcasting service offering local information is as important as the delivery of TV programs provided from program suppliers. In view of this, "Local One Seg," a community-based broadcasting service, is gaining attention. The Local One Seg uses portable terminals equipped with One Seg functions which have been in widespread use over recent years. Sumitomo Electric System Solution Co., Ltd. has developed a terrestrial digital One Seg center "DME-3501" as the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of Broad Net Mux Corporation.
