Comlent was established in 2002 to develop RFICs for the wireless communication market in China. In early 2004, the company raised $7 million from 3i and Intel Capital among others, bringing the total raised to date to $9 million. Other investors include Draper Fisher Jurveston and individual investors such as the Chairman of MediaTek, Board Director of Marvel and Board Director of Logitech. The company plans to seek an additional $10 to $20 million by Q3'05. Revenue shipments have just started and breakeven is anticipated in 2008.
