摘要

An experimental study of droplet impingement on a high temperature wall was con- ducted in a microgravity of 10~-4G. Water drops, 2-5 mm in diameter an 20-250mm/s in collision velocity, impinged on a heating surface of 425-567K. Video images of the impingement showed that the droplet rebounds like an elastic ball at the surface of the wall. Apparent heat flux at the impingement, presented herein, was obtained by consid- ering a vapor jet generated from the boiling of the droplet at the surface of a heating wall.
