Northrop Grumman has received a $935 million contract to build the Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) for the Gateway. Based on the Cygnus logistics module, it will have docking ports, life support and communications functions and will be integrated with the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) under development by Maxar. Launched together on a Falcon Heavy in October 2024, the structure will support future Artemis Moon landing missions.
