Breathability and air permeability are of a totally different physical nature. Nevertheless, both are important for the climatic comfort of car seats. And technical textiles offer great advantages concerning both parameters compared with non-textile products, such as leather or foam, according to Volkmar Bartels.rnWhen sitting in a car seat, heat and sweat produced in our body have to be transported away. Particularly, a wet back is annoying. Two of the main parameters that help us to stay comfortable are breathability and air permeability. Many people believe them to be identical. Not surprisingly, as breathability sounds like a regular air flow or pumping. But, in contrast, breathability and air permeability are of totally different physical nature.
