In August 26, 2010, the international congress "Technisches Sticken - zwischen Forschung und Markt" (Technical stitching -between research and market), took place in Plauen/Germany, organized by the Deutsche Innovationszentrum fur Stickerei e.V. (German Innovation Center for Stitching). The results of 8 research projects were presented. In 2007, the privately-funded regional "growth center" initiative "highSTICK" was started with approx € 4.5 million.
