The 1st Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Congress took place in 1962 and the main theme was: Man-Made Fibers Today and Tomorrow. The 50th Dornbirn Congress will take place from September 14-16, 2011 - one week before the ITMA textile machinery show in Barce lona/Spain - and the umbrella theme will be: Man-Made Fibers - The Next 50 Years. In a very ambitious program it is intended to pres ent fiber-related future projects under their key technologies for the next 10-15 years to come.%Vom 14.-16. September 2011 - also eine Woche vor der ITMA-Textilmaschinenmesse in Barcelona - wird in Dornbirn die 50. Inter nationale Chemiefasertagung veranstaltet, erg?nzt erstmalig durch die Jahresmitglieder versammlung des neuen Gesamtverbands Textil-Bekleidung-Schuh-Leder (TBSL), Wien, am 13 September 2011 (vgl. TT 4/2010, Sei te 128). Hauptthemen der Chemiefaserta gung 2011 sind neue Faserentwicklungen, Funktionstextilien, Technische Textili en/Bauwesen/Composites, Nachhaltigkeit (Recycling, Energieeinsparung), Textilvered lung sowie aktuelle EU-Forschungsprojekte.
