The German company Sandier AG, Schwarzenbach, is able to supply the complete synthetic filtration media range, in other words pocket filters (G3-F8/9) for climate filtration (HVAC), pleat-able synthetic filters (G4-H10) and mat filters (G3-F5). What is more, Sandier produces numerous special purpose filtration and liquid filtration media. In the lower filtration classes (G3-F5/6), Sandier focuses on carded, binder-free polyester nonwoven comprised of micro fibers (diameter of 8-20 μm). They are thermally and mechanically bonded and are statically uncharged. In higher filtration classes, Sandier uses meltblown technology. It allows production of even finer micro fibers (diameter of 1-10 μm), enlarging the inner surface of the filtration medium. Sandler's pocket filters therefore achieve filtration classes of up to F9. In this case, polypropylene is used. A carded nonwoven of filter class G4/F5 may serve as a prefilter.
