At the time of going to press, there's very little known about the Studio line worldwide. Sure, speculation and some leaked shots are around, but this is the exclusive look. The Studio line is actually meant to blur the clear distinction between the XPS and Inspiron; it borrows some design cues from the XPS, but cuts a few corners here and there to achieve a lower price point. From the current Dell India line-up, it's closest in size and features to the XPS M1530. From the 1530, it borrows the tapered design, a latchless lid, the touch controls on top of the keyboard, fingerprint reader and slot loading DVD-R/W drive. But it doesn't have the aluminium palmrest, or the bundled XPS accessory kit and sleeve, or the noise isolating earphones. But it does have a very cool extra; keyboard backlighting. You can have two levels of backlight; a bright one for better lit environments or a dim one, to use in near darkness.
