Among the many programs in the 21st Milano Unica in Fieramilano city last month was the On Stage Milano Unica, which was introduced in 2009, the Observatory Japan that was introduced last year and the Observatory Korea, which was launched at this 21st Milano Unica. Also, there were, of course, Italian and European fabric manufacturers presenting their latest trends. When the On Stage project was launched seven years ago, ten international fashion designers were given the opportunity to show their work in Milano Unica for the first time. The designers chosen to put their creations on the catwalk at that event were: Charles Anastase, Ilaria Nistri, Blaak Homme, Suzuki Takayuki, Sara Lanzi, Alexis Mabille, Thomas Engel Hart, Emilio de la Morena, and Maurizio Miri. Since then, Milano Unica continued to bring emerging designers to On Stage to present their creations to an international audience. Other designers thus taken part in Milano Unica include Mary Katrantzou, Osman Yousefzada, Christopher Raeburn, Uma Wang, Vika Gazinskaya, Todd Lynn, Barbara Casasola, Tim Coppens, Yang Li and Ostwald Helgason, in addition to the most promising Chinese designers -Huishan Zhang, Vega Zaishi Wang and Xander Zhou - who alongside some Italian talents (Andrea Pompilio, Marco De Vincenzo and Camo) were presented in October 2012 at the first edition of On Stage Chine held at the Shanghai Italian Center.
