摘要

Confocal Raman micro-spectral imaging (CRMI) is a relativelynnovel technique for the construction of label-free images of biologicalnentities, such as cells or tissue sections. This method utilizesnthousands of spatially resolved Raman spectra, and sophisticatednimage analysis algorithms, to construct images which are basednstrictly on the inherent biochemical abundance contrast afforded bynRaman microscopy. Here, we apply this methodology to monitor thenvery early communication processes that occur in a growing stemncell colony, yielding information on biochemical composition duringndevelopment processes of the early stages of embryogenesis.
