The new ro-pax LNG cruise ferry, Bergensfjord, owned and operated by the Norwegian ferry operator, Fjord Line, has been launched at Gdansk Shipyard in Poland. The vessel will now proceed to Bergen Group Fosen for fitting out with numerous restaurants, a tax free shop and conference facilities. The 170m long vessel will able to carry 1500 passengers and 600 cars, trucks and cargo. It will serve the Norway to Denmark route when it begins operations on 29 May.
