In only a few weeks time, on 20th May 2015, the 2nd iaf Congress on Rail Infrastructure Works will be opened by its patron, Dr. Volker Kefer, Member of the Management Board for Infrastructure and Services of Deutsche Bahn AG, jointly with VDEI's President Dr.-Ing. Thomas Mainka. Important exponents of the railway sector will again meet experts and representatives of international railway infrastructure managers at this industry highlight for discussions under the motto „Rail infrastructure - Ready for the future?!" The iaf Congress on Rail Infrastructure Works which was born in 2011 has become an important discussion forum in the field of rail transport technology. Current subjects such as the increased flow of goods, environmental legislation, cross-border transports, traffic density and capacity bottlenecks will be discussed.
