Deutsche Telekom is in danger of being left behind as other incumbents surge forward. Now the German giant has started another round of restructuring. One million of your fixed-line customers have drained away to competitors in the first half of this year. Mobile revenue growth has ground to a halt. And regulators want you to share the high-speed DSL networks you're spending up to ?3 billion to build. It's a picture familiar to all European telcos, but the figures give the game away that this is Deutsche Telekom, Europe's biggest operator by revenues and until last year the second largest in the world—this year it has slipped to number three in Total Telecom's Global 100 survey.
