The Centrator tube alignment tool from Weldlogic is designed to align pipes prior to manual welding. Rather than leaving alignment to the operator's judgement, the Centrator is inserted into the two pipes and by turning an actuating handle, two sets of conical fingers are drawn together, forcing the backing ring segments to move radially into the pair of bores. Actuation can be either pneumatic or hydraulic.
