Mannesmann Demag Huettentechnik Meer is currently handling orders from tube manufacturers in Indonesia, the USA and Thailand for machines that will mill the edges of strips and plates and for chamfering machines for finishing the ends of longitudinally welded large diameter pipes. A chamfering machine for a diameter range from 4-16in and wall thicknesses from 2.5-15.9mm is being built for NSPM Nakornthai, of Thailand, as part of an order for a new ERW line. Meanwhile, the chamfering line being supplied to Bakrie & Brothers of Indonesia as part of a complete SAW large-diameter pipe plant covers a diameter range of 24-48in with wall thicknesses up to 38mm.
