Flying unmanned aircraft in civil airspace is one o the greatest challenges facing the unmanned systems and robotics industries today. Everyone, from manufacturers to operators to users, will benefit from getting it right. In this special section Unmanned Systems gathers the views of a variety of stakeholders in the issue, from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, to legislators, police, oil pipeline managers, other civil agencies and industry. We also include viewpoints from Europe, Canada and Australia. You can also get involved: read these stories and go to AUVSI's website to join our efforts to help move the technology along.
