Some of the work of the U.S. Air Forces UAV Battlelab will continue even after the lab closes this fall, but it won't be at the same level, says the lab's director of technology assessment. "We are closing our doors at the end of this fiscal year," says Maj. Joseph Nedeau, who spoke at the Unmanned Aircraft Systems 2 Action Summit in late March in Grand Forks, N.D. He says the lab is cataloguing the work it has done to date, so some of it can be continued by Creech Air Force Base, Nev. However, that will be at a "much reduced rate," he says.
