This is the second French Naval Squadron to receive NH90s.The French Navy will receive 27 NH90 Caimans through 2020 for marine operations in the Mediterranean Sea; the French Army has 68 of the transports on order.The Caimans performed its first flight deck trials in March on the FREMM Aquitaine frigates with hopes to begin operations of anti-submarine warfare combat systems in 2013. Meanwhile, the Belgian armed forces conducted the first flight of their new NH90 on September 18th, with the crew testing main systems, engines, and flight controls.The Belgian armed forces have ordered eight of the NH90s, four each of theTTH for tactical transport operations and the NFH for naval operations.
