ABS-CBN, the largest broadcaster in the Philippines, has beaun to incoroorate Inmarsat's BGAN solution andrnStreambox's ACTL3 newsgathering tool into its operations, in order to enhance and expand its coverage of newsbreaking events across the thousands of islands that comprise the country.rnThe company - reportedly the first commercial TV broadcaster in Asia, having been established in 1946 - delivers TV and radio programming to a significant cache of recipients, including both its domestic audience and international news agencies.rnMaria Ressa, managing director of news and current affairs at ABS-CBN, commented: "In a country of more than 7,000 islands, news logistics are a constant challenge."
