摘要

Like many oxidants, ozone is a volatile substance that can be difficult to measure accurately. One major cause of analytical error is ozone loss during sampling. The practices described below can improve ozone results. When designing the sampling system, engineers must keep in mind that ozone is aggressive and reactive and has a relatively short half-life, so construction materials are important. The sampling system should include 1. a tap that ensures samples are free of bubbles, sediment, and other impurities: 2. sample lines made of appropriate corrosion-resistant materials that are as short and as small in diameter as practical to minimize volume and detention time; 3. a mechanism that keeps sample lines free of accumulated solids; 4. sufficient inflow (sample volume) to the analyzer; and 5. a means of collecting grab samples near the on-line analyzer without disturbing analyzer inflow.
