As I plan for 2013, I have to look back and celebrate the success of 2012, SPA's 40th Anniversary year. Ann Gaines, the SPA board, the Water Flying staff, our field directors, volunteers, and our members all came together to make this success possible. I personally would like to thank you all! The association made a remarkable recovery from a budget deficit, awarded its first seaplane scholarships, and dramatically increased its advocacy efforts in 2012. Yet, even as we accomplished so much, we have only just begun to scratch the surface.
