All of us at SPA wish you a very Happy New Year. The year will be shaped by profound changes perhaps not seen in the past 100 years. The global economy hopefully is now past the brink of collapse and is struggling to find a pathway to recovery. Technological innovations have changed the way we all work, play, and communicate at a breathtaking pace.rnThe aviation industry is immersed in these fundamental changes and continues to be molded by their effects. Today's water flying sprung from its monumental legacies of the early twentieth century. From the age of the great flying boats, to the world's first airline service, first transoceanic passages, and first aircraft to fly from warships, seaplanes have been a corner-stone of the aviation history.
