The Norwegian Gas Negotiating Committee (GFU) and the Polish Oil and Gas Co. (POGC) have signed an 11-billion dollars agreement that calls for Poland to begin receiving Norwegian gas starting in 2008.The agreement helps pave the way for construction of 680-mi pipe line to deliver the gas. Early plans envisage the line running from offshore Norway to the Polish town of Niechorze.
