Specific retention volumes of different organic substances on polyester and polyethylene glycol phases can be generalized by multiparameter equations that take into account the polarity, polarizability, evaporation enthalpy, and molar volume of these substances. This approach allows one to predict the retention volumes of unstudied compounds.
