摘要

Sensorgrams have been obtained for aqueous solutions of Cu~(2+) using a novel long-period-grating fiber-optic sensor. Data from the sensorgrams are evaluated with respect to repeated exposure, Cu~(2+) concentration, and time-dependent response. The results of the experiments indicate the need for sensor conditioning prior to quantitative use, a non-linear response in the spectral shift of the sensor with Cu~(2+) concentration, and a strong dependence of response time on Cu~(2+) concentration.
