In 2004, a total of 420 samples of herbs and processed foods from southeastern Poland were analysed for residues of active substances of some plant protection products. In fresh fruits and vegetables, in processed cherries, raspberries, currants and strawberries, pesticide residues were found the most frequent. Raspberries, currants and strawberries often contained tolylfluanid residue, active substances of Euparen Multi 50 WP/WG. In 2003, kale samples contained chlorpyriphos and cypermethrin residues (active substances of Nurelle D 550 EC) at relatively high levels..
