The results of electochemical and gravimetricstudies of the corrosion resistance of medical steels of the12X18H1OT and 4X13 types in desinfecting solutions containingcarboxylic acid peroxides are set forth. Solutions based ondiperoxyadipic acid ("Nebis") and water-tert.butanol mixture ofmonoperoxycarlboxylic acids (C_7-C_9) ("Peronix") arecharacterized by a lower corrosivity than those based on formicand acetic acids.
