摘要

It is discussed that a successful organization has to do a lot more if it wants to maintain its status or even to achieve higher level of performance excellence. In this regard, in order to identify various features that need to be concentrated, it is attempted to organize a collaborative summit comprising of practitioners of performance excellence and academic researchers. In this collaborative approach initiated by the Monfort Institute at the University of Northern Colorado, first the external and internal issues are discussed that need to be addressed by the practitioners of the successful organizations researchers. Next a purposeful research agenda that addresses both the needs and interests of the practitioners and researchers is developed. Finally the effectiveness of such a collaborative approach is evaluated through a survey conducted among the members attended the summit. (48 refs.)
