With business aviation growing fast, especially in Central and South America, China, India, and Russia, the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) recognized the need for a new standard to harmonize quality prac-tices among business aircraft operators internationally. The result is the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), developed by IBAC, which stipulates baseline requirements for operators in structuring and staffing their flight departments, and planning and conducting their operations.
