A new framework is presented to perform analogical reasoning within a Bayesian data analysis formulation. It combines a similarity measure on function spaces with Bayesian analysis to produce a ranking and requires data containing features of the objects of interest and a link matrix specifying which relationship exist. The potential of the method is illustrated on text analysis and information networks. (76 refs.)
