Purpose:To measure the performance of purchasing and supply chains (PSM), which are cross-functional, using an external assessment survey methodology and to develop a comprehensive performance measurement framework (PMF) using value chain DEA models.Summary:The challenges faced by PSM networks are addressed using a novel, rigorous data collection methodology and an evaluation framework, accounting for the multiple inputs and outputs at various levels of PSM activities to provide a single efficiency measure that can accurately capture the comprehensive performance of a PSM function.
