After Smart Papers closed down its Hamilton, OH, premium two-sided coated printing and writing paper mill, the city council of Hamilton this week jumped in and acquired the 49-acre mill property for $400,000 -- opening the door for an unidentified papermaker to purchase the mill equipment and potentially restart the specialty paper operation.
