Alliance Resource Partners is seeking to increase its market share in the more lucrative metallurgical coal export arena, a move that is expected to begin next year and grow steadily thereafter. The company will up its coking coal production significantly next year and beyond after inking a deal for the 2010 delivery of approximately 450,000 tons into the met export market. Considerably larger numbers could be in the works in a few years.
