IN an earlier article,1 reference was made to the link between HMRs and disease state management. It was commented that DSM service models could be seen as an expansion of the current remunerated medication management review (MMR) services and as a natural progression for those currently involved in providing the services. I'd like to pursue those thoughts a little further and, indeed, look at what is happening or being planned in the DSM area and where a MMR, particularly a HMR, can be either the result of, or a cause of, such activity.
