COMMUNITY pharmacy's pre-eminent national conference is the Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP), held in March of each year on the Gold Coast. This year's conference was heralded as one of the best, with more than 2,000 registered attendees, 29 individual sessions, including 11 plenaries, over three and a half days, and was complemented by an extraordinary range of trade exhibitions and displays.APP2007 was a vociferous demonstration of the inter-relationship between community pharmacy and its stakeholders across the health sector, all of whom were represented at the conference.The highlight of the first full day was an address by the Health Minister, Tony Abbott. He spoke without notes and had some stirring messages to give his doting audience.
