Music Therapy in Children's Hospices:Jessie 's Fund in Action edited by Mercedes Pavlicevic and published in 2005 by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, represents the first book dedicated solely to the topic of music therapy with children receiving end-of-life care. Music therapy in children's hospice (and pediatric palliative care) is a relatively new clinical area in the United States. However, it has been part of children's hospice care in England since the late 1990s, thanks largely to Jessie's Fund. Still, within music therapy literature, there is very little written about clinical work with children who have life-limiting illnesses.
