摘要

SINCE CHILDREN ARE going to create the 21st century; if they are educated early in how they individually, and, by ricochet, as families, can work to preserve the environment, they are best placed to make a difference. If they are environmentally aware, their way of life can gradually become the norm; the way that people should best live to preserve the planet. Taking this as a starting point, Kids ISO 14000 Program was launched in Japan in 2000 with the purpose of encouraging environmental awareness among children, teaching methods of environmental management based on ISO 14001, and forming domestic and international networks among those children.
