Committee BD-084 Reinforcing and Prestressing Materials has released the public comment draft (DR 04001) of the Steel prestressing materials Standard (which will be AS/NZS 4672). Subcommittee BD-084-02, Steel Prestressing Materials, met several times in 2003 to work through a number of issues in order to release this draft. The Standard will replace the three current Standards - AS 1310, AS 1311 and AS 1313 - with one Standard (AS/NZS 4672) for prestressing steels. The draft has been closely aligned with ISO 6934, Steel for the prestressing of concrete and ISO 15630-3, Steel for the reinforcement and prestressing of concrete--Test methods--Pant 3: Prestressing steel.
