Syringomatous carcinoma (SC) is a rare cutaneous appendage tumor. Initially, Mehregan ef al. described some cases as syringoid eccrine carcinoma (SEC). However, there are some other tumors analogous to SEC such as microcystic adnexal carcinoma (MAC) showing many keratin-filled cystic glands,and adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) exhibiting ductal differentiation with focal cribriform pattern. There also exist transitional cases between MAC and SEC, and some cases of apocrine differentiation.
