Skin can be damaged in a variety of ways in occupational accidents including by metal fragments in explosions. Such fragments must be carefully removed to prevent traumatic tattooing as well as scars and keloids. Dermoscopy is a non-invasive technique that has significantly improved the diagnosticaccuracy. It is now applied not only for pigmented skin lesions but also for various skin disorders. Here, we describe dermoscopic assessment of a man who had been pelted with metal fragments in an industrial explosion.
