摘要

The title reactions were studied using laser flash photolysis in conjunction with laser-induced fluorescence techniques. Separate monitoring of the two spin-orbit states, Cl(~2P_(l/2)) and ClfP_(3/2)), was used to measure the kinetics of the reactions of Cl(~2P_(3/2)) with C_2H_6, C_2D_6, CH_3F, C_2H_5F, and CH_3CF_3, the reaction of ClfPI/2) with C2H6, and the relaxation of Cl(~2P_(1/2)) by collisions with C_2H_6, C_2D_6, CH_3F, C_2H_5F, and CH_3CF_3. Measured reaction rate constants were (units ofcm3 molecule-1 S-I): k(ClfP_(3/2)) + C_2H_6) = (5.85 +-0.55) x 10~(-11), k(Cl(~2P_(3/2)) + C_2D_6) = (1.87 +- 0.12) x 10~(-11), k(ClfP_(3/2))+ CH_3F) = (2.7 +-0.2) * 10~(-13), k(Cl(~2P_(3/2)) + CH_3CHiF) = (6.8 +-0.5) x 10~12, and k(ClfP3/2) + CH_3CF_3}< 1 x 10~(-1)4 cm~3 molecule-l S-I. Measured relaxationrateconstaQts for deactivation of ClfP_9_(l/2))) to ClfP3/v via collisions with C2H6, C_2D_6, CH_3F, C_2H_5F, CH_3CF_3, and CF_4 were (1.22 +-O.09) x ro-10, (2.4+-0.2) *10~(-10), (6.4+-0.5) x 10-11, (1.9+-0.2) * 10-1°, (2.0 +-0.2) x 10-10, and (2.3 +-0..4) x 10-11, respectively. Collisionsof Clfp../2) with C_2H_6 and C_2 resulted mainly in the relaxation of ClfPl/V to ClfP3/v and not in the reactive formation of HCl (DC1). The rate constant of the reactive path for Cl(~2P_(1/2) + C_2H_6 was < 3 * 10-11 cm~3 molecule~(-1) s~(-1).
