摘要

Since my first article, "The application of the Golden Proportion to dental aesthetics," was published in The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry in 1978, there has been a controversial discussion going on in the literature. Most colleagues are getting good results using the principles of the Golden Proportion, but not all. The problem is that clinicians who are not obtaining reliably good results are likely using the Golden Proportion tools incorrectly. The solution is to understand and adhere to 2 basic principles.
