A total of 35,179 tons of kimchi refrigerators were sold in the domestic market in January but they were down 20.4% from 44,196 units in the same month last year and a steep fall of 42% from a month earlier. Such a slump in the sales of kimchi refrigerators in January in the domestic market was ascribed to the arrival of a seasonal low-demand period and the related makers' policy to increase their outbound shipments this year.
