The Stainless Steel Club of the Korea Iron & Steel Association hosted a stainless steel seminar on July 12 at the BEXCO, Busan, and a large number of stainless steel pipe makers and consumers were present with keen interest in stainless steel pipes. The stainless steel pipe seminar on that day was held under the five subjects, that is, the proper understanding on stainless steel with examples of application, the properties of stainless steel pipes for plumbing and the present status, the properties of steel pipes for structural works and the present status, the jointing method of stainless steel pipes and the properties of stainless steel pipe corrosion and assessment. Such related stainless steel makers as POSCO, SeAH Steel, Whasung STS and Hi-Sten and Chonnam University gave lectures under each subject at the seminar.
