There is a lot of discussion about re-educating seasoned reference librarians with new technological skills in order to best serve the younger generation of library users. The mantra of all librarians is: "Go where the library users are." But what about those new tech-savvy librarians who are entering the library field? Are library schools training these students to fill this new need in librarianship where reference librarians must also be able to use new media? Are positions opening up in libraries which merge technology and traditional reference?
