The 2001 survey (the current edition) contains 125 information-packed pages. It reports hourly wage rates for 75 job titles and 20,000 positions in the major metal forming and fabricating technologies, including stamping and pressworking, precision sheet metal fabricating, tube and pipe producing and fabricating, toll processing, coil processing, roll forming, and plate and structural. The survey also covers such benefits as vacation policies, shift differentials and overtime pay, medical insurance coverage, and profit sharing and retirement plans. To make comparison easier, data is sorted by company size, metropolitan population, geographic area, and union or nonunion positions.
