Polymeric Processes Inc. has developed an inline coating process that it says answers three important questions concerning the tube interior coating process: Can it be done cost-effectively? Can it meet customer requirements? Does it comply with regulatory and environmental policies? Internal coatings on galvanized tubing usually are applied inline, and the process is suitable for applications such as fencing tube, mechanical tube, and conduit. According to Polymeric, the inline process does have a drawback. The heat involved in the tube forming process eliminates most coatings as options.
