A bolt-on option from Magnatech allows its D model head to be used for angled torch applications.The weld head is designed for multiple circumferential butt welding of tubes and pipe using GTAW. It uses an electronic arc voltage control (AVC) to automatically maintain the programmed torch-to-workpiece distance.Previously the torch could be tilted for a socket weld, but the AVC correction motion still was vertical to the pipe axis.
