摘要

Nuclear transfer, the most recent powerful reproductive technology, is used to multiply animals of desired genetic traits. It can also be applied for the production of transgenic animals by using the cells, which were transfected with desired genes asnuclear donors. The theme of this review is to discuss the nuclear transfer in terms of historical background, procedures for nuclear transfer, source of donor cells, nucleo-cytoplasmic interaction, nuclear remodeling and reprogramming, and the advantages of nuclear transfer technique.
